Lubricants are generally industrial aids that are used to separate two solid objects from each other and to minimize friction force and ensure easy movement. No matter how flawlessly the system equipment and machine parts are produced, there are indentations and protrusions called asperit on their surfaces, which can only be seen with a microscope. This roughness provides a resistance to surface movements when two solid surfaces come into contact with each other, and this resistance is called friction. The main task of the lubricants is to reduce this friction between the surfaces, to separate the two solid bodies from each other by forming a film layer between the surfaces in contact with each other and to ensure the easy movement of the parts. It can be associated with the rate of keeping the coefficient of friction of the mineral oil plant low.

One of the products produced by the process of refining crude oil is a lubricant called mineral oil. After the petroleum refining process during its production, it is passed through special processes and some base oils are obtained from the raw material.
